SOS Children’s Villages Serbia participated on Final conference of Emergency Response Program in Macedonia

Representatives of SOS Children’s Villages Serbia participated at the Final conference of Emergency response project in Macedonia. Conference was organized in Skopje, by SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia and on occasion of the closure of Emergency response program for refugees in Macedonia.

The purpose of the event was to present results achieved during the project. SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia also use this occasion to express gratitude to all their partners and associates who helped them in achieving positive results and in fulfilling every child’s needs during the refugee crisis in Macedonia, since 2015 to 2017. Our colleagues from SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia also stressed out importance of support and cooperation between our two organizations.


Key note speakers on the Conference were: Zorica Serafimovska Arsovska, Chairman of the Managing Board of SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia, Agron Buxhaku, Director of the Crisis Management Center Macedonia,
Damir Ćorić, Representative of SOS Children’s Villages International, Benjamin Perks, representative of Unicef Macedonia and Juliana Gapo, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia.

During the project lifetime, SOS Children’s Villages Macedonia, with 55 employees,  within 752 days, provided more than 250.000 services for refugee children, mothers, women, pregnant women, youngsters and families in Macedonia.

Representatives of SOS Children’s Villages Serbia had chance to gain new knowledge and experience that will be useful for our work with refugees, within Program “Solidarity”, that is implemented in our country since August 2015. Currently SOS Children’s Villages Serbia are providing help for refugees in 12 of 18 reception centers for refugees in Serbia.
