SOS Children’s Villages in Serbia has been growing from year to year and widening its program, which help children and families in risk.

2004.

SOS Children’s Village Kraljevo was founded

2005.

The first child came in SOS village in Kraljevo

2010/2011.

Program of Emergency Help after Earthquake in Kraljevo was initiated

2012.

SOS Children’s Villages Serbia was founded

2013.

“Strengthening Families“project was initiated in Niš

2014/2015.

Programs of Emergency Help after Floods in Obrenovac, Lazarevac and other 30 municipalities in Serbia, was initiated

2014.

Program of Strengthening Families in Obrenovac was launched

2015.

Program of Emergency Help to Refugees “Solidarity“ was started up

2016.

Implementation of program “Strong Youngsters“ has been started

2016.

Program of “Strengthening Families in Belgrade“ was launched and within it a program “Strengthening Young Romany Families“ as well

2017.

Career centre “Strong Youngster“ was opened

2018.

Project “Alternative Care and Children’s Rights in Serbia” has been launched

Project “Youth Links” started

When it was founded in 1975, Children’s Village in Kamenica belonged to a big SOS Children’s Villages family whose founder was Austrian Kinderdorf and built as all other our villages in the world. It was consisted of foster families which were taking care of children. But, at some moment, the Government took the managing over this organisation and after a while, it was turned into Shelter for Children without Parental Care “Doctor Milorad Pavlović”.
